This protected monumental house from 1848 is located in the centre of Kotel and the beginning of the Galata district, next to the museum for antique Kotel carpets. Izvorska is one of the oldest and best-preserved houses from Kotel, the first house in Bulgaria build in the so called "closed Kamchiïski style"; shielded from the three major fires that swept Kotel in the 19th century. The house is the birthplace of Prof. Dr. Sharpazov, founder of the Higher Economic Institute in Sofia and was last occupied by the Party Secretary of Kotel: Vasil Săbev.

Here you are the guest of the owners of goKotel, Galina Durmushliyska and Jaap van Beelen who purchased this monumental house in 2004. The house has 7 rooms: a spacious living room with open fire place, large central lounge, kitchen, spacious bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, a beautiful garden and a cellar. In this house are 3 rooms for upto 5 guest are for rent: the master bedroom with double bed and private bathroom, the “Womans cabinet” whith 2 beds, richly decorated and includes a sink, and the "bachelors room” which is a singel room and where you can sleep very peacefully. Wifi available. Heating is done with a wood-fired central heating. Here you feel like a guest in a museum. This house is especially recommended for guests who like a personal tone. Your host will be Jaap van Beelen, founder and owner of goKotel, fan of Bulgarian dancing and speaking Dutch, English, some German and Bulgarian.

Prices for season 2015 are: €13,- per person per night, including your € 1, = contribution to the "Clean Kotel fund”.
